Downtown Tampa & Channelside

Downtown Tampa has a vibrant nightlife as well as great family-friendly entertainment. The area is well known for the Tampa Riverwalk, a 2.6-mile-long open space and pedestrian trail along the Hillsborough River. Along the river, there are also museums (Glazer Children's Museum and Tampa Museum of Art) and fun restaurants to enjoy. On a hot day, you can come to play in the water fountains at Curtis Hixon Park and even bring your dogs to the dog park for a beautiful day out.

Channel District

Channel District is a bustling area that brings families to the Florida Aquarium for its sharks, stingrays, and wild dolphin cruises. Right outside, the American Victory Ship is a warship repurposed as a maritime museum. Hockey fans pack into Amalie Arena to see the Tampa Bay Lightning play, and the venue also hosts big-name rock and pop acts. Casual, sports-themed bars and restaurants appeal to locals and visitors.
